Target, Summer 2013
Collaborator: Laura Kaehr
Project Prompt: Research and develop a strategy for Target to stand out in the market of children's licensed apparel. Implement that strategy by creating a full line of clothing for both toddler girls and boys.
Working with a fashion design intern, we utilized trend forecasting and market research strategies to find three key whitespace opportunities within the market that would position a unique future for Target's licensed apparel.
We collaborated and combined my textiles with Laura's flats to design a full collection for toddler boys and girls, as well as a gender neutral line specific to newborns.
The collection is a collision of old and new, where classic storybooks and contemporary trends come together to create a chic collection to please both moms and kids alike when shopping Target's floor pad for licensed apparel.
